Lisa Kudrow, known for her role in 'Friends,' expressed feeling overlooked during the show's run. In an interview with The Independent, the 62-year-old actress mentioned that some simply referred to her as 'the sixth friend'.

Kudrow claimed there wasn't a clear vision for her career at the time, but this freedom allowed her to explore various roles in films like Mother (1996), Clockwatchers (1997), and Analyze This (1999). The success of Analyze This marked a shift, as she began to be approached for romantic comedies.

'Friends' aired from 1994 to 2004, with Kudrow winning an Emmy Award for her portrayal of Phoebe Buffay in 1998. In previous statements, the actress had defended her character, saying she wasn't simply 'dumb'.

Kudrow has also mentioned that her success on 'Friends' allowed her to create her own series, such as The Comeback and Web Therapy.
