Melinda Gates: 'Painful Memories' from Epstein Files

Melinda French Gates has spoken about her name being mentioned in the Jeffrey Epstein files, expressing sadness and stating that the revelations bring back memories of 'very painful moments' from her marriage to Bill Gates.
In an interview on NPR's Wild Card podcast, Melinda Gates stated that society is in a process of reckoning regarding the Epstein case. When asked about reports regarding a draft email from Epstein that referred to allegations of Bill Gates' extramarital affairs and an attempt to obtain medication for a sexually transmitted disease, she responded with 'unbelievable sadness'.
Melinda Gates also expressed sympathy for Epstein's victims and hope that justice will be served. A representative for Bill Gates has denied the claims included in the note, calling them 'absolutely absurd and completely false'.
Melinda French Gates left the Gates Foundation in May 2024. The couple announced their divorce in May 2021, after 27 years of marriage.
It is noted that the Epstein files include thousands of emails, court documents, and photographs, with references to well-known figures.
