Billie Eilish: 'Why Are You a Billionaire? Give Your Money Away'

Billie Eilish, during the WSJ. Magazine Innovator Awards in New York, called on billionaires to donate their wealth for good causes.

Accepting the Music Innovator Award, the 23-year-old singer addressed attendees, including Mark Zuckerberg, Priscilla Chan, and Hailey Bieber, saying: 'If you're a billionaire, why are you a billionaire? No hate, but... give your money away, dude.'

Eilish emphasized the need for empathy and help, especially in an era when the world is 'really dark'. She noted that she is donating $11.5 million from her tour for actions related to food equality, climate justice and carbon pollution reduction.

According to a source, Mark Zuckerberg, whose fortune is estimated at $257 billion, did not applaud Eilish's speech.
