Niall Horan Writes Song About Liam Payne's Death

Niall Horan has written a song titled "End of an Era" to honor the memory of Liam Payne, who passed away in October 2024. The song is a touching ballad inspired by Horan's grief over the loss of his friend.

As Horan stated in GQ Hype, after Payne's funeral, he felt the need to withdraw to grieve. The two shared unique experiences as members of the band One Direction, along with Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik.

Producer Julian Bunetta, who co-wrote the song, revealed that the track was written and revised several times until it properly captured the emotion.

Liam Payne passed away at the age of 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires on October 16, 2024. Niall Horan had met his friend a few days before the tragedy.
