Harvey Weinstein Seeks Millions from Past Productions Amid Legal Battles

Harvey Weinstein is facing millions of dollars in legal expenses and is seeking revenue from past productions to cover them. He claims his former partners in the 2015 #FindingNeverland musical owe him $2.3 million.
The #Miramax co-founder filed a lawsuit in the New York State Supreme Court, alleging that he is entitled to compensation and a share of the profits that he never received.
This new legal move comes as Weinstein faces his third trial on a rape charge. He has already been convicted of sexual assault in New York and is appealing his conviction in Los Angeles.
According to court documents, Weinstein claims he was entitled to $5,750 a week for the musical, as well as a percentage of net profits. He believes his partners kept an unauthorized payment of $4.6 million for themselves, of which he is entitled to $2.3 million.
The defendants, #NETworks Presentations and National Artists Management Company, have not commented on the case. #FindingNeverland was a theatrical adaptation of a Weinstein Company film.
