Sharon Osbourne shared Ozzy Osbourne's touching final words about his fans shortly before his death. The legendary Black Sabbath singer, at age 76, told his wife after his farewell concert in Birmingham: 'I had no idea so many people liked me.'

In an interview with Pollstar, Sharon Osbourne described Ozzy's surprise at the audience's love. Sharon, who has been Ozzy's manager for years, emphasized the devotion of metal fans: 'Metal fans are the most loyal in the world. When they follow you, they follow you for life.'

The farewell concert was considered a huge success, with the proceeds going to charity. Sharon Osbourne stated that she didn't want Ozzy to retire quietly, but with a big event, returning to where it all began, at Villa Park.
