Music producer Andrew Watt discussed the impact of music on Ozzy Osbourne, the frontman of Black Sabbath, who passed away in July at the age of 76.

Watt, who produced Osbourne's last two albums, Ordinary Man (2020) and Patient Number 9 (2022), emphasized that music gave Osbourne a purpose and helped him during his recovery from an accident in 2019.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Watt stated: "His music gave him a purpose when he wasn't feeling well, it made him feel great, laugh, sing, dance, it healed him."

Referring to Osbourne's last performance, Watt likened it to a "heavy metal summer camp" and added that "the last month of his life feels like a dream."

Watt also spoke about the loss of Osbourne, saying that the news of his death was a huge shock.
