Paul Mario Day, Former Iron Maiden Singer, Dies

Paul Mario Day, the first singer of Iron Maiden, has died at the age of 69. His death was announced by his band, More, on social media.
The cause of death has not yet been announced. In a post on Instagram, More stated: "We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of the great singer of More, Paul Mario Day. Paul was a huge part of the new wave of British heavy metal."
Day was hired by bassist Steve Harris when he founded Iron Maiden in 1975. He was the band's first singer, from 1975 to 1976, before being replaced by Dennis Wilcock.
In a video about the band's formation, it was revealed that he was fired due to a lack of stage presence.
