Terence Stamp, 'Superman' Villain, Dies

British actor Terence Stamp, known for his roles in films including 'Superman' and 'The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert', died this morning at the age of 87, his family announced in British media.
'He leaves behind an extraordinary body of work, both as an actor and a writer, which will continue to touch and inspire people for years to come,' his family said in a statement.
A figure of London's Swinging Sixties, Terence Stamp is best remembered for his role as General Zod in 'Superman', as well as for his roles in films by Pasolini and Ken Loach.
