Pete Davidson: 'I Heard Voices' Due to Drug Use

Pete Davidson, the well-known comedian and former 'Saturday Night Live' cast member, revealed that excessive cannabis use during his adolescence caused psychosis.
In an interview on August 13, 2025, on The Breakfast Club podcast, Davidson described that he 'heard voices' and felt like he was sitting next to himself. He mentioned that the cannabis was too strong and caused this condition.
Davidson has spoken openly about his addiction to cocaine, ketamine, and tranquilizers. In 2017, at the age of 23, he declared he was sober for the first time in eight years, thanks to the support of his family and partner.
Davidson acknowledges that success found him emotionally unprepared and that public exposure deprived him of the privacy to make mistakes away from the public eye.
