First Look: Cillian Murphy in Drama 'Steve'

The first photo of Cillian Murphy in the new drama film 'Steve' has been released. The film will be available on Netflix from October 3rd.

In the photo, the Oscar-winning actor is seen holding a tennis ball and leaning against a blackboard. The film will be released in select UK cinemas.

Tim Mielants, known for his collaboration with Murphy on 'Peaky Blinders' and 'Small Things Like These', directs the film. Max Porter wrote the screenplay, based on his novel 'Shy'.

The film also stars Jay Lycurgo, Tracey Ullman, Simbi Ajikawo, and Emily Watson. The story is set in the mid-90s and focuses on a pivotal 24 hours in the life of Steve (Cillian Murphy), a boarding school headmaster, and his students.

The film follows Steve's efforts to protect the school from closure while struggling with his mental health. Meanwhile, Shy (Jay Lycurgo), a troubled teenager, tries to reconcile his inner sensitivity with his tendency for self-destruction and violence.
