Sylvester Stallone: 'Samuel L. Jackson and I Were Like Boxers in the Ring'

Sylvester Stallone described his collaboration with Samuel L. Jackson on the series 'Tulsa King' as a 'battle' between two actors. Speaking to People magazine, Stallone mentioned that he initially felt nervous when he learned that Jackson would be joining the cast.
'When I found out it was going to happen, I thought, 'It's going to be a battle, a duel. Like two boxers in the ring, who's going to throw the first punch?'' Stallone said. However, as he explained, their collaboration proved to be very positive. 'As soon as he came in, he said, 'Hi, buddy,' and I replied, 'Oh, it started.' But now we're okay. Now we have chemistry,' he added.
'Tulsa King' marks the first on-screen collaboration between the two actors, even though they have lived close to each other for 30 years. Stallone mentioned that the series allowed both of them to develop their characters and create something stable.
Additionally, it was announced that Samuel L. Jackson will star in a spin-off series titled 'NOLA King,' which is expected to begin filming in early 2026.
Stallone also shared that the legacy he wants to leave is 'that he never gave up'.
