'Emily in Paris' Assistant Director Dies on Set

Tragedy struck the set of 'Emily in Paris' Season 5 in Venice as assistant director Diego Borella, 47, passed away suddenly.
Borella collapsed during filming preparations, causing a temporary halt to production. According to reports, doctors rushed to the Hotel Danieli but were unable to revive him.
La Repubblica reports that Borella's death was likely due to a heart attack. Born in Venice in 1978, Borella was an accomplished director and writer, having studied in Rome, London, and New York.
Filming for Season 5 began on August 15. Netflix has announced that the new season will premiere on December 18. The series, starring Lily Collins, will also take place in Rome.
His friend, Mattia Berton, bid farewell with words of love, highlighting his talent and humor.
