Shia LaBeouf Arrested for Battery in New Orleans

Actor Shia LaBeouf has been arrested for battery for the second time, this time in New Orleans. The 39-year-old actor faces a charge of simple battery and was arrested on Saturday, February 28, for an incident that occurred on February 17 during Mardi Gras celebrations.
According to the Associated Press and the Guardian, LaBeouf was released on $5,000 bail. During his initial arrest on February 17, he was taken into custody and charged with two counts of simple battery following an alleged altercation at the Royal Street Inn & R Bar.
According to the police report, one of the complainants was allegedly punched in the face, causing a possible dislocation of the nose. Witnesses reported that LaBeouf was intoxicated and had exhibited 'uncontrolled' behavior. A TMZ video shows LaBeouf trying to get up from the ground after being hit.
In an interview with 'Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan,' LaBeouf addressed his behavior, saying it was 'm@l@kí@' and expressed doubts about the effectiveness of rehab.
