Teyana Taylor has been ordered to pay $70,000 to her ex-husband, Iman Shumpert, following a court ruling for contempt of court.

The court found that Taylor violated the terms of their divorce settlement, which prohibited the disclosure of information regarding their divorce. The violation concerned a video she posted on Instagram in March, commenting on the divorce.

Taylor's claim that Shumpert leaked information to the press was dismissed due to a lack of evidence. Additionally, the court noted that Taylor refused to answer questions regarding her assets and income.

Despite her initial divorce filing in January 2023, where she accused Shumpert of jealousy and emotional abuse, Shumpert denied the allegations and requested the cause of divorce be changed to 'irreversible breakdown of the relationship'.

The couple married in October 2016 and have two daughters. Taylor is now in a relationship with Aaron Pierre.
