Hollywood Mourns: James Van Der Beek Passes Away

Actor James Van Der Beek, best known for his leading role in the popular series "Dawson's Creek," has passed away at the age of 48. The cause of death has not yet been revealed, but the actor had disclosed that he had been battling colon cancer since late 2024.

Van Der Beek had spoken about his battle with cancer on a television show and was forced to withdraw from the "Dawson's Creek" reunion last September due to health issues.

In addition to "Dawson's Creek," James Van Der Beek had appeared in the films "Scary Movie," "Varsity Blues," and "Pose."

"Our beloved James Van Der Beek passed away peacefully this morning," a statement shared via the actor's Instagram account read.
