Greg Mounfield, Mani's brother, announced the sad news via social media, stating that Mani passed away at his home in Manchester after a health issue. He had lost his wife, Imelda, two years prior.
Mani was born in Manchester on November 16, 1962. He joined The Stone Roses in the early 1980s, and the band released their first album in 1989. After The Stone Roses disbanded in 1996, he joined Primal Scream.
