Tragedy on “Emily in Paris” Set: Assistant Director Dies

Tragedy struck the set of the Netflix series Emily in Paris in Venice, as assistant director Diego Borella passed away at the age of 47.

According to reports, Borella collapsed in front of the crew during preparations for filming the fifth season. Doctors rushed to the Danieli Hotel but were unable to revive him.

Diego Borella studied in Rome, London, and New York, and was involved in directing and writing children's books.

Filming of the series has been suspended.
