Three Years Since Anne Heche's Fatal Car Crash: The Actress's Final Days

Three years have passed since the fatal car accident of actress Anne Heche, on August 11, 2022. Heche was driving her Mini Cooper in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles when she crashed into a house, causing a fire.

The actress was rescued and taken to a hospital, where despite doctors' efforts, she never regained consciousness and was pronounced dead on August 11, 2022. The coroner attributed the death to smoke inhalation and thermal injuries.

Anne Heche was in a relationship with Ellen DeGeneres from 1997 to 2000, becoming one of the first openly gay couples in Hollywood. She is survived by two sons, Homer and Atlas.

On January 24, 2023, her posthumous memoirs, titled Call Me Anne, were released. Colleagues and friends honored her memory, recognizing her talent and personality.
