Tim Burton and Monica Bellucci have announced their separation after nearly three years of relationship. The announcement was made via a joint statement to the media.

The couple initially met at the Cannes Film Festival in 2006, but reconnected in 2022 when Bellucci presented Burton with the Lumière Award. They confirmed their relationship in October 2023 at the Rome Film Festival.

The 67-year-old screenwriter and director and the 60-year-old actress and model also had an artistic collaboration in the film 'Beetlejuice', which premiered in Venice in 2024.

Burton previously had a long-term relationship with Helena Bonham Carter, while Bellucci has been married twice.
