Yungblud on Ozzy Osbourne: 'He Meant Everything to Me'

Yungblud has spoken about Ozzy Osbourne, the heavy metal legend who passed away in July at the age of 76, saying that he meant everything to him. The two artists met in 2022 and developed a close relationship.

Ozzy Osbourne had identified Yungblud as one of the successors of rock music. Yungblud described to The Times how shocked he was by the news of Osbourne's death, which he learned while recording new tracks on a remote island without internet access.

Yungblud shared a photo on Instagram of the cross that Ozzy Osbourne had given him in 2022, during the filming of the music video for the song 'The Funeral'. Yungblud had also offered Osbourne a handmade cross before Black Sabbath's last concert at Villa Park in Birmingham.

'I loved him and he supported me until the end. I get emotional because I've loved him since I was two years old. He taught me to believe in myself and I will take his spirit with me,' Yungblud stated.

'Goodnight Ozzy. Your light will shine forever. I love you,' he wrote in a post.
