Emmanouil Karalis made history in Paiania, clearing 6.17 meters in the pole vault, a performance that ranks him as the second-best athlete of all time, behind only Armand Duplantis.

Karalis became the fourth athlete to surpass 6.10m, surpassing legends such as Renaud Lavillenie and Sergey Bubka. After his historic jump, Bubka contacted Karalis by phone to congratulate him.
