Antetokounmpo and Sloukas to Join Greek National Team for FIBA EuroBasket 2025 in Cyprus

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kostas Sloukas will be part of the Greek National Team's roster for the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 games, which will be held at the Spyros Kyprianou Athletic Center from August 28 to September 4.

The presence of these two basketball players is expected to significantly boost the Greek National Team's efforts, as they will compete for the first time in official matches in Cyprus, aiming for a medal after 16 years.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, the superstar of the Milwaukee Bucks, will participate in another major tournament with the National Team, following the 2023 World Cup and the 2024 Olympic Games. Kostas Sloukas, captain of Panathinaikos, will wear the national team jersey for the first time since EuroBasket 2022, fulfilling his promise to Vassilis Spanoulis.

Additionally, according to APE – MPE, Tyler Dorsey is expected to return to the Greek National Team, replacing Thomas Walkup.

Tickets for the Greek National Team's games are nearing sell-out, with matches against Spain and Italy already sold out. Greece will successively face Italy (28/08, 21:30), Cyprus (30/08, 18:15), Georgia (31/08, 15:00), Bosnia and Herzegovina (02/09, 15:00), and Spain (04/09, 21:30).
