Vincent Poirier Ruled Out of Eurobasket Due to Injury

Significant blow for the French National Team ahead of the EuroBasket (August 27 - September 14). According to the Equipe newspaper, Vincent Poirier will miss the tournament due to a knee injury.

The player was injured in France's first friendly game against Spain in Badalona. Tests revealed that the problem is serious and will not allow him to compete.

France is already facing several absences, as Mathias Lessort, Moustapha Fall, Rudy Gobert, Evan Fournier and Victor Wembanyama are not in the preliminary selection.

Vincent Poirier played in the 2024-2025 season for Anadolu Efes, averaging 9.5 points in the EuroLeague.

France is in the fourth group of EuroBasket and will face Belgium, Slovenia, Israel, Poland and Iceland in that order.
