Greece defeats Israel to advance to EuroBasket 2025 Quarterfinals

Greece defeated Israel with a score of 84-79 to advance to the quarterfinals of EuroBasket 2025. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Greek team with 37 points.

The Greek team controlled the game, although Israel remained competitive. In the quarterfinals, Greece will face Lithuania.

Besides Giannis, Sloukas scored 11 points, while Samodourov contributed with 7 points and 6 rebounds. Papanikolaou reached 169 appearances with the national team, surpassing Nikos Galis.

For Israel, Avdija (23 points), Sorkin (14 points), and Ginat (15 points) were the top scorers.
