Eurobasket 2025: Georgia Announces Preliminary Squad with Key Players

Georgia has announced its preliminary squad for Eurobasket 2025, strengthened by Tornike Shengelia, Sandro Mamukelashvili, and Goga Bitadze. Georgia will participate in Group C in Lemesos, along with Greece, Cyprus, Italy, Spain, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Head coach Aleksandar Djikic has selected 16 players from which the final 12 will be chosen. The preliminary squad also includes Giorgi Shermadini, known for his time with Panathinaikos and Olympiacos. Kamar Baldwin of Baskonia has been called up as the naturalized player.
Fifteen of the players are already in Latvia for preparation, while Sandro Mamukelashvili will join on August 8 after the Toronto Raptors camp. Georgia will play friendly matches against Israel (August 4) and Estonia (August 8) in Klaipeda, and against Lithuania (August 10) in Kaunas.
