Georgia defeats Spain in EuroBasket 2025 opener

Georgia defeated Spain with a score of 83-69 in the opening game of EuroBasket 2025. Mamukelashvili (19 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists) and Bitadze (15 points, 5 rebounds) were the top players for Georgia.

Juancho Hernangomez scored 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds for Spain.

Georgia started strong and took the lead, while Spain tried to react but failed to turn the game around. At halftime, Georgia was leading with 37-35.

In the second half, Georgia maintained control and increased the lead, reaching victory with 83-69.
