Olympiacos BC: Protest Letter to EuroLeague Regarding 2026 Final Four Bid

Olympiacos BC has published the letter sent to EuroLeague CEO, Paulius Motiejunas, on September 3rd, concerning Athens' bid for the 2026 Final Four. In the letter, Olympiacos BC raises 12 questions regarding the bidding process and its transparency.
In its announcement, Olympiacos BC states that it did not receive satisfactory answers to its questions, expressing dissatisfaction with the handling of the matter. The team emphasizes its unwavering commitment to transparency and publishes the letter to Euroleague in its entirety.
Among other things, the questions concern the assignment of a mediator (KINGBET MEDIA) to approach the Greek Government, the selection criteria for that particular entity, the amount of its fee, and potential involvement of Euroleague executives in promoting Athens' bid.
Olympiacos BC also requests copies of contracts with KINGBET MEDIA, DEI (Public Power Corporation), as well as detailed information on the revenues and expenses of the Athens and Belgrade bids.
