Lonnie Walker: "I Only Compare Myself to Kendrick Nunn"

Lonnie Walker, the new signing for Maccabi Tel Aviv, expressed his admiration for Kendrick Nunn of Panathinaikos, in statements ahead of the new Euroleague season.

Walker, who will receive 3.3 million euros annually, referred to Nunn's adaptability in Europe, emphasizing that he is an example for American players coming to the Euroleague.

Specifically, he stated: "It really all started because of Kendrick Nunn. He’s one of the pioneers as far as Americans feeling more comfortable or seeing that they can adjust over here. He’s shown that it’s possible. When you have a player like that, it’s like a domino effect. I was next in line. Now more and more Americans are coming over here, so I’m just trying to put my best foot forward, answer the questions as best I can and make them understand the difference between the NBA and the EuroLeague. To this day, we still talk about different things. He’s a great guy. I’m very thankful to have somebody like that on my side.”
