Luca Banchi: "The conditions weren't right for Armani"

Luca Banchi, who will lead Latvia at the EuroBasket, spoke about rumors linking him to Armani Milano.

After his departure from Efes, there were rumors that he could collaborate with Ettore Messina at Armani Milano, possibly as his successor.

The 60-year-old coach told Sky Sport that there was a possibility his name would be linked to Milano, which filled him with pride. However, he added that "the conditions weren't right for it to happen."

Referring to his time at Anadolu Efes, Banchi admitted that the opportunity arose unexpectedly. He is currently without a team.
