Mike James: "For me, I'm the EuroLeague GOAT"

Mike James considers himself the top player in EuroLeague history. As he stated on the EuroInsiders podcast, he believes he is not only the EuroLeague's top scorer but also the best player of all time in the competition.

"The GOAT discussion is subjective. My opinion is that I'm already the GOAT. But that could be my answer to some people who disagree. It's a matter of opinion," said the 35-year-old guard for Monaco.

"It's nice to be appreciated. Players like Spanoulis, Diamantidis, Navarro, Šaras, consider me in the same class as them, and I think they appreciate me a lot. Whenever I'm around one of them, they tease me a little and say, 'You haven't won the EuroLeague yet.' It's funny. Even though I feel like I'm the best, I'm not going to go out and shout near them that I'm the GOAT. I respect everyone I consider to be on the same level as me. So, yeah, I think that discussion is funny. I'd rather discuss the NBA GOAT than the EuroLeague, because I'm actually in that EuroLeague discussion. So it makes me feel a little uncomfortable," he added.
