Dončić: 'My team was underestimated, some didn't respect us'

Luka Dončić expressed his bitterness after Slovenia's elimination by Germany in the quarterfinals of EuroBasket 2025. Despite his impressive performance, Slovenia lost 99-91.

In his statements, Dončić mentioned: 'We didn't deserve to lose. Everyone fought and wanted to win. I made many mistakes and could have played better in the final stages.'

Referring to the fouls, he said: 'I already had two fouls in the first few minutes, which is not good. You have to make the right decisions.'

Dončić added: 'My team was underestimated before the start of the championship. Some didn't respect us, but we had a good run. I am proud of Slovenia and the guys who gave 100%'.
