Pozzecco: "Difficult to face Greece when Giannis is playing"

Italy's coach, Gianmarco Pozzecco, acknowledged the superiority of the Greek National Team after Italy's 75-66 defeat at EuroBasket. Pozzecco congratulated Vassilis Spanoulis and the Greek team on their victory.

"Congratulations to coach Spanoulis and the Greek team. When Giannis is on the court, it is very difficult to face the Greek team," Pozzecco stated.

He also referred to Thanasis Antetokounmpo, saying: "When I was coach in Varese, I wanted to acquire Thanasis Antetokounmpo and I had called him. I really like his energy."

Pozzecco also commented on Georgia's victory over Spain, emphasizing that basketball is changing and that the dissolution of Yugoslavia and Russia has changed the landscape.
