Slovenia: Doncic Out for Friendly Against Germany

Slovenia will face Germany in a second friendly preparation match, but without Luka Dončić. The 2017 European champions were defeated by the 2023 world champions 103-89 in their first game on Friday.

Aleksander Sekulić decided not to include Dončić in Sunday's game for rest reasons. After returning from Germany, Slovenia will face Lithuania and Latvia away. On August 19, they will play Great Britain in front of their home crowd. Before Eurobasket, they will travel to Serbia to face Nikola Jokić's team.

Slovenia is in the fourth group of EuroBasket in Poland, where they will face Poland, France, Belgium, Iceland and Israel in that order. The first four teams qualify for the knock-out stage in Latvia.
