Spanoulis: It's important to win, but more important how we play

Vassilis Spanoulis, the coach of the Greek National Team, expressed his satisfaction with the team's performance in the friendly against Italy at OAKA, despite the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kostas Sloukas, and Dinos Mitoglou. Greece defeated Italy in the Acropolis tournament.

Spanoulis emphasized that the final 12-man roster for Eurobasket will be announced on Sunday, after the friendly against France. "I believe it's important to win, but more important how we play," he stated.

Regarding the team's reaction after the defeat by Israel, Spanoulis said: "In the match against Israel, we had absences and showed a very bad image, while today we had a very good image."

Referring to the selection of the final twelve, he noted: "For every kid who will not be in the final twelve, it will be difficult. Unfortunately, I will have to upset someone."

Vassilis Toliopoulos added that despite his recent strain, he feels good and the team is helping him to be ready.
