Tears at Peace and Friendship Stadium: Banner for Gate 7 Tragedy

Emotional moments unfolded at the Peace and Friendship Stadium (SEF) before the Olympiacos-Virtus Bologna game, with the raising of a huge banner dedicated to the 21 victims of the Gate 7 tragedy.

Two days before the 45th anniversary of that black Sunday, February 8, 1981, Olympiacos fans honored the memory of the lost fans.

The banner, which covered a large part of the stand, featured the faces of the victims, recalling the tragedy deeply etched in the club's history. The match against Virtus is part of the 27th round of the EuroLeague.
