Czech Republic: Vesely to Miss Eurobasket Due to Injuries

The Czech Republic's national basketball team announced its preliminary roster for the upcoming Eurobasket, with Jan Vesely absent. The 34-year-old Barcelona forward/center will not participate in the tournament due to serious injuries that plagued him last season.

The national team's general manager, Jiří Welsch, stated that the decision was made jointly, as the player has not completed his recovery. Vesely's absence leaves a gap in the team, which will rely on Tomáš Satoranský and Vít Krejčí.

The Czech Republic will participate in Group A of Eurobasket, with Portugal, Turkey, Estonia, Serbia, and Latvia. The matches will be held in Riga from August 27 to September 3.
