Alperen Sengun Apologizes for Sexist Remark to Female Referee

Houston Rockets star Alperen Sengun has apologized for a sexist remark made to a female referee during a game. The 23-year-old Turk called referee Jenna Reneau a "b*tch" multiple times during the Rockets' loss to the Celtics on Wednesday, resulting in his ejection from the game.
Following Houston's win over the Thunder on Saturday, Sengun stated: "That was immature of me." He revealed that he apologized to Reneau immediately after the game. "It was heat of the moment, and I said some stuff I shouldn’t say, but I felt bad about it," he added.
Sengun is in his fifth season in the NBA and is averaging 20.9 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 6.2 assists in 43 games.
