Jordan-Bryant Card Sold for $12.9 Million

A rare trading card featuring the autographs of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant was sold for $12.9 million by Heritage Auctions, setting an all-time record for a sports trading card.

The card, an Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Dual Logoman Autographs Jordan & Bryant from 2007-08, is unique (1-of-1) and surpassed the previous record of $12.6 million held by the 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle card from 2022.

Chris Ivy, director of sports auctions at Heritage, emphasized the importance of the Exquisite series, saying it “paved the way” for premium basketball cards.

The identity of the buyer was not disclosed.
