NBA: One Million Dollars Per Game?

The NBA contract race is heading towards a new milestone, with salaries approaching one million dollars per game. Just in the 2015-16 season, only ten players reached $20 million annually, while this year that number rises to 91.
Of these, 61 will exceed 30 million, 27 will reach at least 40 million, and 15 will exceed 50 million, with Steph Curry leading the way.
This increase is due to new television rights, international commercial exploitation, and 'supermax' contracts. Players like Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown have signed huge contracts, while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is expected to reach $963,000 per game.
With the salary cap increasing, the possibility of a player earning $82 million for 82 games is no longer science fiction. Teams are called upon to make smart moves to manage finances and remain competitive.
