A rift appears to be emerging between Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks, according to reports. American journalist Shams Charania revealed that the team asked Antetokounmpo not to play again this season due to his injuries.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has played in only 36 of the team's 68 games, reportedly disagrees with this decision. The Bucks, with a 28-40 record, are in 11th place in the Eastern Conference and, according to Charania, are not "chasing" anything significant this season, wanting to protect the player.

Antetokounmpo, however, wants to return to action. The Bucks announced on March 17 that the player will be out due to a left knee injury, without giving a specific return timeline.

Charania reported that there have been multiple meetings regarding Antetokounmpo's condition in the last 24 hours, following the diagnosis of a hyperextended knee, and that a disagreement has arisen between the two sides as to whether it is best for him to return or not.
