Jayson Tatum: 'I thought about quitting basketball'

Jayson Tatum, star of the Boston Celtics, revealed that he considered quitting basketball after his serious injury. He suffered a torn Achilles tendon in his right foot during the playoffs.

In an interview with ESPN, Tatum mentioned that he underwent surgery and followed intensive rehabilitation. Also, in statements to NBC News, he revealed that he had discussed the possibility of quitting basketball with his mother.

Tatum, however, left open the possibility of returning to action this season. With the Boston team, he won the 2024 championship.
