AEK Protests Disallowed João Mário Goal Against OFI

AEK Athens has expressed its dissatisfaction with the disallowed goal by João Mário in their match against OFI Crete. The goal, scored in the 12th minute, was ruled out due to an offensive foul, a decision confirmed by VAR.

In a statement on Twitter, AEK stated: "12’ João Mário scores, the referee cancels the goal for an offensive foul, and despite the fact that in the replay there doesn't seem to be anything irregular, VAR confirms the decision!".

The decision by referee Tsakalidis and its confirmation by VAR have provoked strong reactions from AEK.
