AEK Athens draws 1-1 with Anderlecht in Belgium, hopes at OPAP Arena
AEK Athens secured a 1-1 draw against Anderlecht in Belgium, thanks to an outstanding performance by Strakosha and a goal by Eliasson. The match took place at the Ā«Constant Vanden StockĀ» stadium.
Anderlecht took the lead with a goal from Dolberg in the 21st minute. Despite the pressure from the Belgians, AEK managed to react and equalize with Eliasson in the 75th minute, assisted by Koutessa.
The match was marked by strong duels and several yellow cards. Mantalos was sent off towards the end of the match and will miss the return leg at OPAP Arena.
