AEK Athens draws 1-1 with Anderlecht in Brussels, qualification at OPAP Arena

AEK Athens drew 1-1 with Anderlecht in Brussels in the first leg of their Conference League play-off tie. Eliasson's goal in the 74th minute gave AEK a valuable away goal ahead of the return leg at the OPAP Arena.

Dolberg had opened the scoring for Anderlecht in the 21st minute. AEK will be without Petros Mantalos in the return leg after he was sent off in added time.

The match was balanced, with chances for both sides. Anderlecht hit the woodwork twice, while AEK threatened mainly through Gacinovic and Zini in the first half.

The return leg will be played at the OPAP Arena in a week's time, where qualification for the next stage of the Conference League will be decided.
