Amorim: «Šeško has the characteristics that United needed»

Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim has expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition of Benjamin Šeško.

Benjamin Šeško is officially a Manchester United player, in a transfer that cost around 85 million euros. According to Ruben Amorim, the investment was worth it, as the Slovenian striker has the necessary characteristics that the team lacked.

«He has the characteristics we needed. Ben is a player who we should... prevent from working and not the other way around! It is also important that he is very young. He is good in the air, he is good at running and good with the ball. I think he has great potential that he can improve a lot and, for sure, he will feel at home in our team. He has the right character to be in this team, so I'm really happy to have him. He will notice, from the first day and the first training session, that he is in the right place,» said Ruben Amorim.

Šeško has signed a contract until the summer of 2030 and was presented at Old Trafford before the friendly match against Fiorentina on August 9, where United won 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

The Slovenian international has 39 goals in 87 appearances with Leipzig.
