Shock Cup Exit for Man United Against Grimsby on Penalties

Manchester United suffered a humiliating cup exit against Grimsby Town, a team from the fourth division. After a 2-2 draw in normal time, Grimsby prevailed in the penalty shootout 13-12, after 26 attempts.

Grimsby took a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Vernam and Warren, capitalizing on poor reactions from goalkeeper Andre Onana. Despite pressure from United, with Ruben Amorim bringing on players like Fernandes and Boumo, who reduced the score to 2-1, Grimsby held on. Boumo equalized to 2-2 but missed the decisive penalty, handing the victory to Grimsby.

Grimsby's victory is one of the biggest upsets of the season.
