Ese to Undergo Tests After Injury Scare in Derby

Besides dropping two points in the 0-0 draw against PAOK at «G. Karaiskakis» for the 24th matchday of Stoiximan Super League, Olympiacos is also dealing with an injury concern regarding Santiago Ese. The Argentinian midfielder couldn't finish the match, as he requested to be substituted in the 81st minute due to adductor discomfort.

Jose Luis Mendilibar made a forced substitution, bringing on his compatriot, Lorenzo Sipiioni, for the final minutes of the derby. Ese, who once again fought many battles in midfield and covered significant ground, felt a strain and couldn't continue with the same intensity.

The extent of the problem will be clarified after medical tests, which he will undergo, with updates expected within Monday (09/03).
