Greece - Belarus 5-1: Impressive Victory in World Cup Qualifiers

The Greek National Team started the World Cup qualifiers impressively, crushing Belarus with 5-1 at the "Georgios Karaiskakis" stadium.

Greece dominated from the first minute, scoring four goals in the first half. Scorers for Greece were Karetsas (3’), Pavlidis (17’), Bakasetas (21’) and Kourbelis (36’). Tzolis scored the fifth goal in the 63rd minute. Barkovsky scored for Belarus with a penalty in the 72nd minute.

Ivan Jovanovic's team showed excellent offensive performance, creating many opportunities. Greece's next match is against Denmark on September 8.
