In a thrilling game, Greece, although without qualification interest, managed to secure an important prestige victory. Ivan Jovanovic's team took a 3-0 lead, but Scotland reduced the score to 3-2, without managing to equalize.

Tasos Bakasetas was sent off during the game, while Babis Kostoulas made his debut with the Greek National Team. Odysseas Vlachodimos made excellent saves, contributing to the team's victory.
